Your dogs are like your kids - and much like human children sometimes they don't listen and their behavior is embarrassing. Sometimes they may even behave in ways that scare you or others and leave you feeling stressed, at a loss, and maybe even guilty. The good news is that with the right dog training and management plan things will get better! You too can have a peaceful home, fun walks, and the enjoyment of your canine kids thanks to online dog training.
In an Online Consultation your dog trainer will ask a number of questions to get to the root of the problem. We will discuss your training goals and outline the best dog training package to meet your needs.
You will leave the consultation with immediate recommendations to implement to help manage your dog's behavior to give you relief now until training can change it for the better! No need to travel or live in Missoula, Stevensville or Hamilton, MT. Thanks to online training all that you need is internet and a device with a camera!
Whether your dog is pulling on leash, barking at others, or reacting poorly to guests we have a dog training plan to help your dog reach their full potential. Every plan is tailored to meet the dog's needs and fit your household. By the end of the online consultation you will have a better understanding of why your dog does that frustrating thing as well as the dog training steps to take to change it!

YES! The truth is we've always taught YOU to train your dog. This can be accomplished just as easily via Live Video Chat online dog training as in person. The Live Video Chat platform also allows us to use a greater variety of teaching tools which makes it easier for you to learn the games. Added bonus, you get access to a recording of your session so you can rewatch it (or share it with family members who couldn't attend live) to get the most out of your lesson.
During the Online Consultation your dog trainer will ask a number of questions for a comprehensive picture of your dog's home environment, routine, and behaviors. We don't need to actually see your dog bark at the door, chew up the furniture, or lunge at other dogs on a walk to understand the behavior. Truth is we have seen the problem you are experiencing and can gather all the information we need through discussion. Our dog training will focus on setting your dog up for success and preventing the unwanted behaviors while we teach more appropriate responses. It is our goal to NOT have your dog show the bad behavior so we can change it for the better! That's part of why online dog training is so effective! You control the environment to set your dog up for successful learning.
Every living creature works for rewards. Whether it's that the 'work' itself is rewarding (chasing, digging) or it results in some change in our environment that is rewarding (barking at the scary guy makes him go away!). We train with treats so that you have a way to reward good behaviors that you want to teach to your dog. The unwanted behaviors that we want to change all reward themselves. Pulling on leash rewards pulling. Barking at dogs rewards barking. Jumping up on guests rewards jumping up. If a dog does a behavior more than twice, that behavior is rewarding itself. We need a reward we can control to reinforce the behavior we want to see since the unwanted behaviors are rewarding themselves! At first, sure, your dog may expect a treat once they understand the game, but over time the new behavior becomes habit and eventually it will feel good to your dog to do the new behavior whether they get a treat or not!
How long does it take to learn piano? How long does it take to learn to read? There is no one answer to how long it will take a learner to master a new skill. We CAN tell you that every client who does a training package sees change in their dog in the time we work together. The more you put into your dog's training program, the more you will get out of it. Some changes can happen very quickly, within a session or two, while others take months. How quickly a dog learns a new skill depends on variables including the difficulty of the skill itself, how much opportunity they have to practice the behavior that you want to change, how much time you put into the training and things outside our control like genetics and past experiences. When you do the work, you will see change.
